Cute garden markers for this season

I came across this when thinking about making some garden markers for this spring season... Hand-hammered and stamped antique spoons for your garden. I think Hammermann's idea is just absolutely gorgeous, and I do not think I could top that. These rustic old spoons are just so cute. What more appropriate for your vegetable/herb garden than utensils?

I want a garden plot just so I can get some of these...

Reclamation used to be a necessity, and it still is.

My grandmother wove rugs to the whole family. She'd take old sheets and shirts, color coordinate them and cut them to 3/4" slivers. For my grandmother all those old 'rags' are just future rugs.

This society has forgotten to reuse and re-purpose really fast. Now we are realizing that the way we have lived since WWII is not sustainable and that we are using more resources that there is.

The interesting thing about this is that if one generation could change the way we looked at craftsmanship and reclamation in the past, one generation can do it again. I hope that my generation is that one generation. (we'll see about that)
